The Lion King 3D

Well its been a while since i did a movie review. But now that school has started, i once again have nothing else to do besides go to the movies stoned with my friends. Lets do this.

THE LION KING 3D
"Hmm, what to do with one of the greatest Disney movies of all time that has withstood the test of time. I know! lets make it 3D and get more profit from movie watchers."

Damn you disney, you know that people cant resist watching the Lion King this time in 3D. What bastards. But in all seriousness the only thing that is different about this version is the extra dimension added. We still have the same characters such as Simba, Mufasa, Nala, Scar, etc. The story is virtually untouched. What im really going to go in depth with this review is the actual 3D effects.

Pros
Well, where can i start. This movie is arguably one of the greatest disney movies of all time (Toy Story also comes to mind). This movie is solely responsible for putting Disney at the top. The story is excellent, characters are likable, and it is just all around a great movie. Oh yeah, and lets not forget those catchy songs that we've grown up with too.

What i am here to talk about is the 3D. Now i know what you are thinking already. UGH 3D fuck just let me watch it in 2D theres no real differences. Normally i would agree with that statement however this is different. Unlike most 3D movies the Lion King looks like it was actually meant for 3D. You might be asking yourself, what the hell is this kid talking about? Think about Avatar which looked phenomenal in 3D. It looked like the 3D was MEANT to be there. Movies like the last airbender however look like the 3D was just added for the sake of adding 3D. The songs are where the 3D shined the most. It put you in a perspective that the original simply cant duplicate.

Cons
The one and only Con was at one scene where Timon's eyes turned blue. This will be fixed in the 3d blu ray DVD however since i was Stoned when i watched it in theaters, it really pissed me off.

Conclusion
Was this really a surprise to anyone? Were talking about one of the greatest disney movies of all time. A movie that taught people a life lesson while putting it in catchy tunes. This 3D version is truly something you need to watch either in theaters or at your home (if you have a 3D TV you lucky bastard.)

My Rating: (4.8/5)
-Those fucking blue eyes pissed me off soo bad haha
