Beauty and the Beast 3D

The inner child in me just never seems to go away. I crave for that nostalgia feeling. It reminds me how being a kid in the 90's was the best. I mean REALLY have you even seen what kids watch now? The nickelodeon lineup right now is just not that great. Disney channel has sold out to "reality shows" and just forces Phineas and Ferb (which i think is not that great imho) down our throat. The only bearable channel now is Cartoon Network but even some of the shows on that arent too great. Now every generation is going to go out there and say that they had the best childhood era, but this movie shows why the 90's and the time of the Disney Renaissance was the absolute best time to be a kid.

                                       Beauty and the Beast 3D
Yet another 3D disney rerelease. None other than the multiple award winning Beauty and the Beast. Being my favorite movie from the Disney Renaissance era (i'm not gay), this was an absolute must watch for me. So as usual i grabbed a couple of friends and we went to the 10:25 showing to watch this movie.

                                                     Pros
Let me just get straight to the point. The picture was absolutely mind blowing (and it wasn't because i was stoned out of my mind because i watched it twice). Now i had originally thought that the 3D wasn't going to be too great because rereleasing in 3D is never the same as recording in 3D. I couldn't have been more wrong. The 3D adds to the drama of the story especially the ballroom scene. I will go far enough to even say that the 3D was better than the Lion king rerelease.
The plot is the exact same as you remember it from 1991. Same old story with Belle, Beast, Gaston, etc. Only this time it is upgraded in HD picture which makes the tale even more lively. The picture isnt the only thing upgraded, the sound quality has definitely gotten better. It is more crisp and detailed in songs like "Belle", and "Be Our Guest" and it adds liveliness to songs like "Something There" and "Tale as Old as Time". It just goes to show you that Disney sure knows how to remaster their timeless films.

                                                    Cons
                                 NONE. ABSOLUTELY NONE.

                                                 Conclusion
Theres one thing that this movie has taught me. Nope not love, but how much better it was to be a kid in the 90's era. Now i have given the recent animated films a chance and the only two i liked that were released recently are Up and Tangled. The reason i believe this is because this rerelease had gotten higher ratings and overall more gross than the newer animated flicks. In conclusion you should definitely
watch this movie. Because in the end, the "Tale as Old as Time" shows us that that time was truly the best. This rerelease brings back a classic story but makes it feel new because of the HD,3D, and sound upgrades. I cant fucking wait for a 4D/5D/6D whatever rerelease. oh, and Little Mermaid/ Finding Nemo 3d rereleases this year.

                                                                  My Rating: (5/5)
                                                              -New favorite movie.
